TJG: Shooting -1 (71, 72) at Papago from 6,200 yards in windy conditions is impressive! Winning Invitationals—especially at Papago—is no easy feat. How does it feel?
Julia: It feels great! I love the momentum from these last couple of events and would love to keep it going. This win definitely gives me a confidence boost heading into the new season.

TJG: What were your thoughts on the stronger winds both days?
Julia: I try not to overthink the wind—aside from club selection. I just reminded myself that everyone was playing in the same conditions, so why not make the most of it?

TJG: Several players mentioned struggling with the greens. What was your experience?
Julia: I hear that a lot about Papago, but I’ve always done well on these greens. Knowing how to read the breaks off the Papago mountains gave me an advantage.
TJG: You’ve now won two straight JGAA Invitational tournaments to start the 2025 season (Warren Schutte & Thunderbirds). How would you describe your game and strategy?
Julia: I feel like my game is at its best point right now. I’m finally able to pick apart the course and play strategically. Trusting in my abilities has really helped me through it all.

TJG: Anything else you'd like to share about your Thunderbird PING Invitational win at Papago?
Julia: I want to thank The Thunderbirds for their generosity and the JGAA for all they do. I am incredibly grateful and blessed for the opportunities ahead.
